I’ve Got an Instant Pot, Now What?

Is your instant pot still sitting in the box? I’ve had a few friends confess to me that they bought an instant pot a while back and it’s still sitting in the box. When I asked them why, their response was “I am intimidated by it” or “I don’t know how to use it.”

If you are among those who are feeling intimidated or clueless where to begin, you are not alone my friend. I was blessed to have one of my dearest friends show me her instant pot and she showed me step by step how to use it. I have to admit when I came home and ordered my instant pot I was still a little nervous about using it. However, I got it and immediately took it out of the box and dove right into using it and never looked back.

Have I had some “fails” while using my instant pot? Most definitely, I have had at least two that I can think of. One was because I didn’t have a clue of what I was doing and needed to do a little research. Allow me to introduce you to my best friend. Her/his name is google. Whenever I’m not sure what to do I ask google and google brings up a plethora of videos or websites on “how to…”. That has been a life saver for me.

In the video below, I talk about what comes with your instant pot and their purposes. I talk about a couple of safety precautions, and I also talk about the control panel. I hope this video helps to take away any fear or intimidation you may feel toward your instant pot. Maybe you aren’t intimidated by your instant pot but you need a little motivation to start using it. Watch my video and I bet you will want to get started. By the way, I have several instant pot recipes on my YouTube channel. Feel free to check them out.

If you have any questions or comments please leave them down below. I would love to connect with you. Happy instant potting my friend!
