I am blessed with friends from all over the world. My friends Leyland and Melva are from Guyana, South America. They own a little homestead here in Florida with goats and chickens.
Melva gave me some of her goat cheese one day and it was love at first “bite.” I asked if she could teach me how to make it and she was more than happy to. I also asked if she would like to make a video of us making the goat cheese. Obviously, she agreed to that as well.
I was super excited when Melva’s husband, Leyland, agreed to teach me how to milk a goat. Since I am basically a city girl this was an exciting adventure for me.
I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making it. Please feel free to leave me comments. I’d love to connect with you. Do you have any ideas of things I could make videos of?

I love making homemade ice cream in the Vitamix. It’s so creamy and delicious. Recently, I made my sweet dark cherry ice cream and added goat cheese. Oh my goodness, it was super yummy! It reminded me of sorbet. It was sweet and tart.
I am blessed to have a friend that has goats and she has blessed me with goat’s milk and even homemade goat cheese. One of these days I hope to make a YouTube video making goat cheese. I will definitely write about it when I do.
Check out my video below for step by step instructions on how to make this yummy recipe. Feel free to like and share my video. Thanks.
If you are a chocolate lover these brownie bites are definitely for you. The best part about them is they are super easy to make. Most of my recipes are from scratch but this is one the few that isn’t. I actually buy the Hershey’s Triple Chocolate brownie mix at Sam’s Club. I use this mix to make these adorable little brownies. They are so cute and taste amazing!
Watch the video below to see how I make these brownie bites.

Recently I flew to Arizona for a couple of weeks to have some much needed girlfriend time. I am blessed to have a few close friends that I can just be me with. Leslie, also known as the Bohemian Sprout, is one of those friends.
Whenever I visit Leslie she always makes me feel like her home is my home. She has the gift of hospitality and I have the privilege of enjoying it!
One of the things that makes being a guest in Leslie’s home enjoyable is she’s always prepared. The guest area has been freshly cleaned and there is no dust anywhere. To someone like me with a lot of allergies, that is wonderful.
My second morning there I got up to an amazing breakfast with fresh hot coffee and orange juice. I felt so spoiled. That spoke volumes to me because Leslie doesn’t like to cook at all. In fact, when I am there, I do most of the cooking. That’s one of the small ways I can be a blessing to my friend and her family. If you have followed me for very long you probably know how much I enjoy cooking.
Avocado toast on gluten free bread and bacon
Leslie keeps a clean bath robe hanging behind the door in the guest room. In her bathroom she has plenty of toiletry items, a blow dryer, and just about anything you could possibly want or need. She doesn’t want me to have to pack a lot of extra items when I fly out to see her and this makes traveling so much easier.

Leslie had even made my homemade hair conditioner and had it waiting in the guest shower. Talk about going above and beyond to make you feel welcome! Wow, she knows just how to do it!
Sometimes I think the art of hospitality has been lost to some of the younger generation. Making people feel welcomed and loved is so important. You don’t have to go to the extent that my friend Leslie does. Hospitality can be simple but thoughtful.
I remember as a child when my grandparents or other guests would come to see us, we always gave them the best room, the best towels, etc. After becoming an adult, I’ve tried to do the same thing for our guests.

I’m thinking about writing a blog about being a good guest in someone’s home. What do you think?
If you like angel hair pasta and pizza, this recipe is the best of both worlds. It is easy to make and will tickle your taste buds for sure. If you are thinking, “I don’t have an air fryer,” never fear, you can bake this in your oven.
Watch the video down below for step by step instructions. I share on the video how to cook this in your oven too. Be creative and use whatever toppings you like on your pizza.
Please leave me comments down below. I would love to connect with you.
Air Fryer Spaghetti Pizza
Spray fryer pan with olive oil cooking spray
Add a thin layer of cooked angel hair pasta (or your favorite pasta)
Add marinara sauce
Add crushed red pepper flakes
Add shredded mozzarella cheese
Add diced mushrooms
Cooked Diced chicken (or pepperoni or pineapple)
Add fresh basil
Cook for 7 to 8 minutes in Air Fryer on 370. (Check after 5 minutes and again after 6 minutes. Keep checking until your cheese is totally melted and a little browned.
*Left over angel hair pasta is perfect for this recipe. If you take it out of the refrigerator and run it through a strainer under hot water it will be like you just cooked it.

Oh my goodness this recipe is so delicious! If you like chicken pot pie, you will love creamy chicken puffs. In my opinion, they are way better than chicken pot pie. They are so easy to make but they look like you spent hours preparing this meal.
A few years ago we had some new friends come over for dinner. As you’ve probably already guessed, I made this recipe. The ladies were quite impressed and went on an on about how elegant and delicious this meal truly was. My darling husband, a man indeed, said, “Oh no, it didn’t take my wife no time at all to make these, it’s so easy.” I have to laugh because he was right. So whether you want to make an impressive meal or just spoil your family, this is a great recipe.
This recipe would be great for a ladies tea or a special dinner. You can serve cranberry sauce, green beans, or a side salad.
Watch my video below for step by step instructions and you will find the recipe under the video in the description box. I look forward to hearing from you. Please leave me comments down below. Thanks and happy cooking!

When I was a little girl we moved to South Carolina. We lived there for a little over three years. While living there my mother learned a new recipe from some of the ladies at church. They called it “chicken bog.” All I could remember about it was that it had rice, chicken, and black pepper and tasted great. So I called my mom to see if she still remembered how to cook it. Fortunately she did. So I decided to give it a go in the instant pot.
Back when my mom and the church ladies would cook chicken bog they cooked it in a huge pot on the stove. They would boil the whole chicken and de-bone it. Since I am all about quick and easy, I chose to use boneless skinless chicken breasts.
Watch my video to see step by step instructions on how to make this delicious dish in the instant pot. It was so yummy that my husband had three helpings. Okay, I have to admit I went back for seconds. If you want to help me out, please let the ad(s) play before or after the video. Thanks so much for your love and support!
By the way, what have you been cooking lately? Please leave me comments down below. I would love to connect with you.

I love pork roast and sauerkraut. However, I didn’t grow up eating it. In fact, as a child if my mom would have cooked this I probably would have said, “Yuck, can I go get a hamburger?”
My husband’s grandparents on his mom’s side were German. After we got married they very quickly became Grandma and Grandpa Dohrmann to me. They were the grandparents I had always dreamed of having. Grandma shared some of her recipes with me and pork roast and sauerkraut is one of them. Of course she didn’t have an instant pot back then.
Below is a video of me cooking pork roast and sauerkraut in my instant pot. I give step by step instructions and the recipe is below the video. Please feel free to watch and leave me comments. I would love to connect with you.
Recipe:
3 to 4 lb pork roast (at room temp)
salt
pepper
garlic powder
2 lb bag of sauerkraut
1 cup of water
Rinse roast and pat dry. Sprinkle seasonings over roast. Make sure to season all sides of roast.
Place 1 1/2 to 2 tbsp of grape seed oil in instant pot.
Place roast in instant pot when it reads HOT.
Saute for 2 to 3 minutes on all sides of roast.
After sauteing, you may want to clean your pan before pressure cooking the roast.
Turn instant pot off and turn it back on the pressure cook high or manual high for 20 minutes per pound of meat. I cooked my 3 1/2 lbs. roast for 1 hour 15 minutes.
Do a self release for at least 20 minutes.
Mashed potatoes make a great side dish.
Enjoy!

Have you ever wondered what the difference is between cold process and hot process soaping? Making cold process soap is quicker and easier, but it has to cure for about 6 weeks. Curing gives the soap time for the water to evaporate in the soap, making it a harder bar that will last longer in use.
The hot process soap takes longer to make the day you make it, but it can be used right away. I recommend you allow it to cure for a couple of weeks.
I would love for you to watch my video below and see exactly how we made both types of soap. Soaping is fun and we sure had fun making this video.
Are you a soaper? If so, what is your favorite type of soap to make? I would love to connect with you. Please leave comments and questions down below. Thanks!
If you would like this soap recipe, it’s under “show more” below the actual YouTube video. Thanks for watching!
